What we do

Construction

Koh Brothers started their building construction activities in 1983. In 1992, the company was awarded the G8 now as A1 grading for building by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the highest classification with unlimited tendering capacity.

At Koh Brothers, we take pride in having built a majority of the world-class drainage infrastructure from small drains such as Sungei Api Api to Kallang River, Singapore River, Bukit Timah River, Geylang River, Rochor Canal River to Punggol Waterway and the iconic Marina Barrage that has largely kept Singapore’s flooding incidents to a minimum. This is despite the fact that Singapore ranks among the top 10 countries in the world with the most rainfall.

To strategically support our building projects, we own a sizable and dedicated fleet of high-quality heavy machinery, equipment, steel struts, concrete pump trucks and a team of highly-skilled direct workers to ensure the timely delivery and completion of quality projects.

Today, we have completed building projects such as The Civil Defence Academy at Jalan Bahar; The River Valley High School in Boon Lay; A large aircraft hangar in Changi for the Singapore Aviation Services Company Pte Ltd; The Chevrons club at Boon Lay Way; and the Design & Build HDB flats and condominiums in various housing estates and districts respectively.

In addition, Koh Brothers covers a wide spectrum of civil engineering works. Some of our current and completed projects include the Changi Water Reclamation Plant, one of the world’s largest covered sewage treatment plant; the 2.4-kilometre Punggol Waterway (part of a larger HDB project to make Punggol a vibrant people-centric heartland); the Downtown Line 1 Bugis MRT Station and its associated tunnels; Jurong Water Reclamation Plant, Common Service Tunnel at the Business Financial Centre and the iconic Marina Barrage, a mega desalination project which was successfully completed in October 2008.
