The objective of this scheme is to promote the adoption of an international quality management system standards in Singapore's construction industry. More than 400 firms in the architectural, construction, engineering, property , building materials and related fields have since been certified under this scheme.

It provides a framework and set of principles that ensure a common-sense approach to the management of an organization to consistently satisfy customers and other stakeholders. It provides the basis for effective processes and workflows for people to deliver an effective product or service time after time.
