As part of the measures by the government to reduce the impact of floods to homes and businesses, this project awarded by Public Utility Board at a sum of $ 99.81 million forms part of the improvement of the drainage network, stretches from Bukit Timah Road to Rail Corridor of the entire Bukit Timah Diversion Canal Project.
The improvement work comprises the construction of box culverts, diversion of affected services and laying of new services such as water mains, sewers, manholes, demolition of existing structures, transplanting and protecting of trees within the National Parks’ Trees Conservation Area, connection of affected outlet drains, slab of outlet drains, road alignment, associated footpaths, street lamps, road signs etc. The project works commence on 18-2-2013 and to complete by 17-2-16.
